Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Fischer has been a resident of Clay County since 2013, where he now lives with his wife, Karen, and their three children, Rachel, Bowen, and Sam. Dr. Fischer currently serves on the board of The Foundry Resuce Mission of Bessemer, Alabama, and is a strong proponent of the local church and affiliated ministries.
