    Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

    Qualifications

    a. A current/valid Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Alabama.
    b. Good physical health.
    c. Good personal hygiene.
    d. Emotional maturity, stability, and adaptability.
    e. Dependability and moral integrity.
    f. Kindness, sympathy, understanding, gentleness, and courtesy.
    g. An active interest in people as individuals and a respect for the rights of others, regardless of position, race or creed.
    h. The ability to work with others as a team, to take instructions and guidance, and a willingness to cooperate fully in the overall care of the residents.
    i. Loyalty to the hospital, the residents, and fellow employees whether on the job or off.
    j. Willingness to work with realization that errors may have serious consequences for patients.
    2. Requirements of Position
    a. Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved with providing related bedside care to patients.
    b. Knowledge of the location of various departments and of general rules and regulation of the hospital.
    c. Ability to provide personal services for patients and to care for equipment and supplies.
    d. Ability to follow verbal instructions.
    e. Request guidance and assistance in any procedure which requires them.
    3. Basic Responsibilities
    a. The Certified Nursing Assistant performs routine work in the care of patients in the hospital to include: feeding, dressing, bathing, toileting, and transferring.
    b. The CNA is responsible for maintaining the standards of nursing service, responsible for the safety and welfare of others, as well as, the responsibility of hospital equipment and supplies.
